I have just come back from Nidri in Lefkas and saw what a wonderful job the firefighters did to control and stop the fires. They were working constantly filling up with water from the sea and flying to and fro all day. Thank goodness no one was hurt and apparently the firefighters saved many vines and olive trees to save the livelihoods of the local people.
