Yacht charter details

Our Yachts

Our Lefkas yachts are not covered in advertising for the company (like so many charter yachts are). Our sailing yachts are Greek Registered and have the appearance of a privately owned yacht. Beneteau Oceanis 423 is four-year-old. She is 13.9 mts long 3.9 mts wide and displaces 8.8 tonnes, With the three heads (shower toilets) she can easily give you the space and comfort you need, for six and even eight people.

Our yachts have many extras included in your charter price; dinghy and outboard, (the dinghy is stowable and you do not need to tow it around like a dog on a lead, if you do not want to). GPS, spray hood and rod fishing equipment. Also please note that some companies have additional charges for airport transfers, end of charter cleaning and time taken with instruction, these are all included in your charter fee. We will require a deposit against any damage, and we ask you to pay for the diesel you use.

Useful Personal Tips

It is certainly advisable to pack a grip or soft holdall as there are not many places to stow cases on a boat, and holdalls can be tidied away in a locker. You really do not need a vast amount of clothing, but that is a personal choice of course. Mosquitoes are not a terrible problem, and can be almost eliminated with repellent and by not using heavy perfumes and aftershave, we have found unscented soap, deodorant and shampoo also reduce the risk of being bitten. There are Bimini sun shades on our boats, but please do not forget the ‘Sun Cream,’ a combination of the open sea and the Greek sun will cook you Holiday health insurance is a really good idea, and do not forget your ‘European Health Insurance Card’ that replaced the E111 form.

Instruction and Support

We will give you a detailed briefing on all the aspects of the yacht. If you are unsure about managing a yacht of this size we have several options that you may like to consider. Firstly we can spend some time with you practising maneuvering and Mediterranean mooring. Moorings can be busy in July and August and skipper and crew need to know what to do. Secondly we can skipper you for a day or two if you wish. Once you are moored and secure for the night, we will leave you to enjoy the evening with the offer of returning in the morning. Alternatively, we can sail with you in our own yacht , and accompany you for your first two days. Please note that we are not R.Y.A. instructors, and the instruction given is only to gain a clearer understanding of handling the yacht you are chartering.
